Pilot your mobility innovation in Riga through Urban Mobility Incubator!


As cities grow, the demand for mobility increases. Today urban mobility accounts for 40 % of all CO2 emissions of road transport and up to 70 % of other pollutants from transport within the European Union. By fostering innovation and transforming urban mobility, we can cut unnecessary costs, improve quality of life and contribute to achieving climate targets.




Mobility startups and teams from Baltic states and Eastern Europe



From July to October 2021.


Urban mobility incubator program will provide up to 8 teams with the following:

  • Direct access to City of Riga specialists for consultation and advice
  • Covering prototype development costs up to €1 000
  • Prototype deployment in a real urban environment for testing and reference case, including covering prototype deployment costs up to €3 500
  • Weekly stipend of €150 per team during the 10 week program
  • Strong preparation for future success through personalized couching and individual mentoring sessions,
  • Access to vibrant co-working space Teikums during the 10 week program,
  • Opportunity to develop contact network of city representatives and investors.

About the programme

The incubator will be a 10 week long summer program of active individual work and mentoring, followed by prototype deployment in VEF district, Riga. Each participant will have a personalized progress plan depending on their situation at the program start. Therefore, we are equally welcoming to completely new teams with high potential ideas as well as already established startups interested in deployment acceleration.

During program the participants will be provided with personalized business coaching, necessary R&D infrastructure, industry connections as well as pilot financing up to €6000! Using these resources, the teams will learn how to progress from a great idea to a validated business proposition and deployed prototype in a real urban environment.

The program will be run from Riga, Latvia, and will include online and on-site activities. At the end of the program all Urban Mobility Incubator alumni will have the chance to pitch their solution to the Baltic Sea region investors and city representatives.
