Successful work of accelerators at universities. Access to Asian markets

GCIP Ukraine launched a training program for representatives of the Universities involved in the creation of the GCIP Ukraine Regional Cleantech Accelerators.

 

The first online training “EFFICIENT WORK OF ACCELERATORS AT UNIVERSITIES. ENTERING TO THE MARKETS OF JAPAN, SOUTH-EAST ASIA AND SOUTH ASIA”, held on October 3-4, 2020, focused on the creation of university accelerators, the development of entrepreneurship in universities and the peculiarities of accessing the Asian markets.

 

The trainer of the event – representative of Innovations and Future Creation Inc. (MIRAI SOUZOU, Japan), Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum – Mr. Kartik Rampalli.

 

Representatives of Donbass State Pedagogical University, Sumy State University, Kherson National Technical University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University took part in the training.

 

During the training were discussed the following issues:

 

  • How successful accelerators work/operate
  • Identifying successful cleantech innovation business models
  • How to engage universities (what can corporates offer to the universities, apart from donations)
  • How to form an alliance between University’s Technology licensing Office, VCs and Corporations
  • Penetrating the Asian markets, trends in Asia.

The GCIP Ukraine project envisages the creation of GCIP Ukraine Regional Accelerators (Centers for Innovation, Technology and Innovative Startups) which will focus on creating a comfortable innovation environment for the production and implementation of creative ideas and innovative start-ups, technology transfers, cooperation with industry and small business, green economy development in the regions.
